Karly-Marina Loaiza is a singer and songwriter born in Alexandria, Virginia, U.S. better known as Kali Uchis. She has Colombian descent her parents moved to the States before she was born. She plays instruments like the saxophone and piano. She originally started writing poetry and songs but later some events led her to sing. Her genres: R&B, neo soul, pop, bossa nova, reggaeton, hip hop, funk and bedroom pop. She has had interesting collaborations with famous people, she has released EPs and her songs have been used for TV series. she has influence of the 60's music and soul, R&B. The followers say that she never disappoints. She’s grown so much from "Por Vida" ( her first album) and even before that, making videos on top of buildings in our home country, videos in a bathroom & corner stores, to isolation and tours. Others believe Amy Winehouse was reborn in her while others do not agree with this statement because they say she's so far from everything Amy did during her career that any comparisons are purely superficial and Kali will always be her own thing. Well, respecting all the assertions of those who support her we can say that Kali is one of the coolest talented female artists to come out with a voice that is rare and very special.
