Marina Lambrini Diamandis is Welsh singer- songwriter better known as Marina and the Diamonds. Born in Brynmawr Wales and raised in the village of Pandy. She has an interesting family background her father being Greek and her mother Welsh at certain point of her life, when she was around 16, she decided to learn the language of her father and sing Greek folk songs. By the age of 18 she started to write her own lyrics. She was one of the girls who applied for the Spice Girls auditions but to no avail. She decided to make her own music she learned to play the piano by herself and later composing and producing her demos.
